POOL SAFETY FENCING Please note that you must have your new swimming pool fencing approved by your local council before you start building it. If you do everything according the council rules with height and all other safety requirements, then getting a “complying” form of development should not be that difficult at all and it could be approved in roughly 2 – 4 weeks on average. The current pool fencing and boundary barriers may need to be upgraded to meet the current safety requirements from your local authorities.
